Our Full Program is suitable for children who have graduated our Pre-Twinkle and Twinkle programs. Children enrolling in this program have 2+ years of experience through Suzuki method lessons. Children are ages 5+ when entering the program. Transfer students in Book 1-10 are welcome to enroll in the Full Program after a placement interview. The Full program educates students from the beginner level through the advanced level of playing. The full program is divided into ten levels, based on the 10 Suzuki violin books.
The Twinkle Program focuses on combining all skills learned in the Pre-Twinkle stage, to advance fluidity in playing. Children are aged 5-10 at the time of entering the program. Twinkle classes prepare students for joining the studio’s full program. The Twinkle program is divided into four units, taking about one year to complete. Format includes both individual and group classes. Parent/guardian required to attend all classes. Pre-Requisite: Completion of the Pre-Twinkle Program or transfer from another Suzuki Studio with a minimum of 6-12 months of in-person instruction. Transfer students will need to arrange a placement interview.
Absolute beginners in this age range may feel more comfortable in a program that offers traditional methods of violin study. Students in this age range are still welcome to apply. However, the violin book 1 group class is made of students ages 5-10 with 2+ years of playing experience. The Suzuki Philosophy promotes mixed age and ability classes so this is not a problem for our studio, however not all families feel comfortable with this situation. When possible, an older beginners book 1 class will form with enough student enrollment of this level.
