Policy

I prefer email for all communications. suzuki21157@gmail.com. I might not receive all text messages due to location or my phone being off. I’m unable to respond to messages while teaching as my focus is on the family in front of me. I respect your time.

Check the calendar if you have scheduling questions. It’s your responsibility to add dates to your calendar—reminders are only sent when the studio will be closed. Calendar can be found on the studio website.

If you’re late, you’re late. I begin & end promptly. No makeups or refunds for time missed due to being tardy.

If you miss it, you miss it. Makeups/rescheduled individual lessons are NOT guaranteed unless I must cancel, which happens on the extremely rare occasion for emergencies.

No refunds or tuition credits.

I prioritize families who prioritize violin when it comes to scheduling.

24 hours notice by EMAIL required if you’d like an in-person makeup lesson— this is to facilitate scheduling. Makeups occur during openings/cancellations within my teaching schedule. Without advanced notice, it’s very difficult to arrange makeups. I’ll be in touch when/if I have an opening. I haven’t yet mastered the art of creating more time; once time has passed, it doesn’t come back. Which is why it’s a use it or loose it program for makeup credits—Therefore, make-ups must be held within one month of the missed date or they are forfeitIf you miss/cancel a makeup, it will not be rescheduled.

If unable to provide 24 hours notice for cancellations, you may record short videos of your progress and text them to me (ideally by the start of your lesson time).  (443) 789-1648. I will use your time slot to review and respond with feedback to satisfy the lesson/makeup. If you’re unable to send videos by the start of the lesson time, please send when you can. I will review them during my next open appointment. However, I can’t guarantee I will have an opening to do so before your next lesson. In this case the lesson is forfeit and no makeup will be offered. Videos may also be uploaded to YouTube and links emailed (best choice for weekends and breaks as I might not receive texts while my phone is off).

No makeups, rescheduling or refunds for missed group classes.

Sick & Symptomatic? Stay home until symptom/fever free for 24 hours. This applies to siblings, parents and guests. During allergy season, wear a mask if symptomatic out of an abundance of caution. Lessons will end early and are not made up if children are unable to keep masks on. Families who cannot respect this policy will recieve zero makeups moving forward as makeups are meant specifically to avoid ill people attending lessons.
