June 2026

Details for the upcoming school year will be sent in July following the break. If you would like to keep your current lesson time slot for the September 2026-June 2027 school year, or to increase to an hour lesson please email me.

Violins are simply held together by GLUE. If your violin gets too hot this glue melts. High temperatures are also bad for the varnish and can cause it to bubble. Just as cold weather creates tuning difficulties, so does hot weather! In the humid weather, violin bows also misbehave. They sometimes won’t tighten. In this case, don’t force it or you’ll strip the screw. You’ll have to wait until the weather changes or consider keeping your violin in a room with a dehumidifier.

  • Summer break: June 22-July 2.
If needed, send emails over the break. My phone will not save texts when turned off that long. Automatic reminders will be sent during the break for your convenience—no need to respond. 🙂. Graduation videos can be posted to YouTube (unlisted or private if preferred) and links emailed, or hold them for sending until Lessons resume week of 7/6. If you’re away this week and have already communicated this—I have noted it. No need to interrupt your vacation to remind me.
